Summing it Up

Theres been alot going on with Lebron over the past week, and Eric's here to put all your doubts and questions to rest. I wasn't a huge fan of the choice he made, and alot of the world wasn't feelin what he was doing at all. I understand alot of people look up to Lebron and there was alot of business surrounding him but doesn't everybody look out for themselves? Thats my quick thought. I'm slamming you in the next paragraph.
My biggest peeve in sports is athletes who put themselves above the game. It's the ones who worry about their stats, their money, or whatever other piece outside of the game itself that really chaps my rear. I've heard alot of opinions about the move, and even I fired at him for going to Miami. But if you put the decision show, his concert appearances aside, the only reason that I see him going to Miami is wanting to win. You can argue about his legacy and other things like that but there has to be even a tiny shred of selfless-ness in that decision.
Moing into the season, I don't see how this team won't be ready to win right away. I understand it will be hard to spread the floor but I really think there will be more moves for the Heat that will put them in a great position. Some great role players will take the pay cut to play with this talent just like Posey and that bunch did. I really dont see how the Heat aren't the favorites in the East.

I could write a 25 page term paper on this situation, but I know our readers have some serious short term attention spans. Please comment, and I will destroy you in any arguement you would like to make. I put in near 25 hours of sports radio listening this past week and I know all angles. Go for it.

Dynasty

My girlfiend showed me this game. Figures two games later I demolish her career high score. I was a little rattled it took me two games to take her down even as a beginer, but you know me, I'm a perfectionist. What can I say? Eric plays for keeps. Eric doesn't lose.

The boss is hatin on my game and non sport posts so Im creating a sister blog for pretty much anything you want to see. I'll still be entertaining you from this blog too, so don't wet your superhero undies.

Why LeBron has Already Lost

Tonight is the night where the sports world stops and watches "The King" pick his future destination for the next six years (and that's not even true, I'm sure he'll get the opt out after 3 special). But what LeBron probably thought was a great situation for him to pick where he wanted to go and to feel loved has turned into a no-win situation because of his antics.

When Kobe Bryant was a free agent a few seasons ago did he have his own 1-hour special? No. And Kobe, unlike LeBron, had actually won titles. Yet why does LeBron need his own show?

The answer is so he feels loved. LeBron is not walking down the same road as Jordan or Kobe, but seems more in line with the personality of Alex Rodriguez.

We certainly didn't see his killer desire in the playoffs this season, pretty much quitting on his team in Game 5 against Boston, and letting a "bad elbow" make him shoot an important free throw left-handed almost as a "Hey look at me! I'm injured! That's why I may fail this time."

Those who say Kobe has never quit are forgetting his decision not to shoot in the entire second half of a Game 7 loss to Phoenix years back to prove a point. They also forget the complete egg he dropped in the 2004 finals against Detroit. But Kobe did not make excuses. He has been injured, in fact he was injured all this postseason with knee and thumb trouble. Did you ever hear Kobe complain once? NO.

LeBron has a certain "new school" quality to him. He's bought into himself. Is he damn good? Yeah, the most physically talented player in the NBA. Today he is worried about his legacy and wants to be one of the best of all-time. But when you look at what he's done in this process, making it all about him, and alienating entire cities and teams is a slap in the face to the entire NBA. It's a sideshow circus.

He can't win now and here's why...

If he goes to:

New York: He has gone on national tv and pretty much told the city of Cleveland and his home state to go f*** itself. The home town boy that loves the attention goes to the place where he'll get the most attention under the bright lights of New York. However, if he doesn't win a championship...and fast then how good was LeBron after all?

Cleveland: The fan base is already scared to death that he's already gone, why the hell else would he be making his announcement from Greenwich, CT? LeBron told Akron and the whole state how much he loved them, but he's just playing with their hearts right now like that girl that knows she can do whatever the hell she wants. The damage has already been done, he may be able to go back there and be cheered, but only because they NEED him, LeBron has driven a wedge between himself and the city. The only bright spot is that he did not give up on his home town and stayed loyal in the end, kind of like a girlfriend who takes a break and gets with a few other guys but realizes she can't boss someone around like she can her old boo.

Miami: This would be the biggest cop-out of all. To go to Miami to play with Bosh and Wade in Miami. LeBron's goal is to be THE greatest player ever, well I'd hate to break it to you LeBron, but Jordan never played with two of the top ten players in the NBA on his team along with him! And Kobe may have had Shaq and now Gasol, but at least the last two Laker titles you can count as Kobe's Lakers. The 305 area code? That's Miami-Wade County. Dwyane Wade is the sheriff there. Not to mention the COMPLETE slap in the face that is to Bosh and Wade who announced together yesterday that you, on your own, need your own announcement. Simply winning titles are not good enough when you're surrounded by that kind of talent. Can he REALLY not be THE star on a team? We will find out.

Chicago: Funny, about a week ago they were supposedly the front runners. Now with the signing of Boozer (who LeBron does not like for bailing on Cleveland when he was a rookie) they may have pushed LeBron further away. If he goes here what can he really accomplish? He's in the arena and team that Jordan built, nothing he could ever do can top Jordan's six rings, and attempting to do so would make him look feeble. There is a statue outside of the United Center of Jordan. Do you really believe they are going to build one of you if you win a title or two there?

LeBron has already lost. Publically he will play this announcement off as an attempt help the Boys and Girls Club and donate the money and sponsors to charity. But those who are not so naive can see what you are clearly doing LeBron. It's not about the NBA it's about ME. A new city may love him as of 9:10 P.M. tonight, however he has created more haters than he has ever had before and a new target will go on the Queen's back. He's just some scandalous mirror shots away from being the NBA's A-Rod.

LeKnick

The pursuit of LeBron James will end around 9PM tomorrow night. But why wait that long! He's a knick.

It will break the hearts of Cleveland fans as now their city loses their only mega star (sorry Grady Sizemore) to the place many feared LeBron would leave too--New York. With Amare in the fold, and the knicks supposedly working on either Monta Ellis or Al Jefferson in a trade as well the knicks look like contenders.

This sets up a FANTASTIC eastern conference four way battle next season. The Celtics, Magic, Heat (with Bosh and Wade) and now the Knicks. Let the fun begin.

So again, no low level blog on the interwebs is going to post this but since we don't have any credibility anyway why not? Bron will be a knick tomorrow, you heard it here and if I've been lied to someone will pay. So all you kids out there go get your #6 LeBron James Knicks jerseys, basketball is back in New York.

UPDATE: I am a journalism major so I decided to do some. LeBron is/was supposedly at Spark's Steakhouse in New York. So I called and asked if LeBron is/was there...the Indian worker's response..."(pause)....No Comment" and hung up.

Also this little piece of info has come across from Nike...Witness. Note the Knick colors. I'll let you be the judge...either there are some SERIOUS games going on right now...or the writings on the wall.

Wonder why ESPN isn't reporting any of this? Well, what network wants as much suspense as possible for their 1-hour special on LeBron tomorrow night? That's right. Why would ESPN ruin the "surprise"?

Im good. I mean REAL Good.

I dont know if I should go to confession for the assholes Ive been tearing up on this gaming website lately. Bloons to be specific. Im like Father Hessachiah on the first day of CCD. I almost feel bad. It took percistance, patience, and the two berries in between my legs to take down this game not once, but near ten times. I doubt anyone out there can come to the half way point. If you can, you get a free pack of Zebra gum via CVS via Dennis.

I Know Where Lebron is Going

I know where Lebron is going. End of story. Stop watching Jim Rome, he doesnt know what the hell he's talking about anyways.

Lebron knows he'll be compared to the best in the game when its all said and done. How he handled his career and how he handles this summer will be under the scope, including championships.

Chicago: Not happening. Prob the most attractive of all spots to end up, but is he really going to put on a Bulls Jersey? Jump in some Hanes commercials while your at it. Hes already under the other 23's shadow.

Miami: When did Kobe start getting recognition for his rings? When he started doing it himself. Kobe knows it, Lebron knows it. He needs/wants to do this ish himself.

New Jersey: Lebron can be friends with Jay-Z anywhere, and all they have to offer is the cap room that they will sign whoever he wants. So does 67 other teams in the league. Yes 67.

New York In Lebrons eyes this is the second best spot for obvious reasons. He has all the options he has in Dirty Jers with the cap space/players with the big city on top of it. He'll be in a much bigger market like he wants it.

Cleveland I think its obvious he's going to stay. I think he knows that leaving Cleveland gives him a sense of failure, and the idea that hes not THAT good. His mother can most likely make a killer soul food plate with a side of corn bread for him on Saturdays also. Now he can keep taking fake, attention grabbing, dooshy pictures near the bench pregame.

That might have been the most serious post I've written. But when you gotta lay down the law you do it. Can't wait till he signs with Cleveland and I rub my nuts on all of your drum sets.
