Porters been throwing me more texts than my girlfriend to throw down on a blog, but to be honest the Sox weren't pleasing me until late so I'll give you a little something for your upcoming week.
So we've been on a pretty solid tear lately. Even though we only took two of four from a weak ass Royals team, we looked pretty solid against Tampa, Philly, and the Twins. The answer has come from more consistant pitching, mostly speaking of big Jon Lester.
Besides the obvious people have been talking about like Papi is back, we'll be good when Becket gets back blah blah blah, we're still 5.5 games back. I know its really early but both the Yankees and Rays will be making runs that could dig us deeper. I still believe we're in need of a big bat in the lineup.
So what is the answer your asking? Eric knows. I think it's time for Theo to make a blockbuster move this season. I'm talking Hanley Ramirez. I know about his little jog to the ball incident that happened with him a while ago, but the kids got MVP style. Obviously he's got a big price tag on him, but this is what I propose. Jacoby, Bucholz, Youkalis, and throw in a minor leaguer for Hanley. Just strait up. Lars Anderson will replace Youk at first base, wait it out for a replacement for Jacoby with Cameron, and thanks for the shots Clay (he really did buy me shots) but your out. Now, we have the best hitting shortstop in the league wearing a Boston uni. Now, we have a lineup smoother than the vagasil Dennis is selling in aisle 6 at CVS.
Your welcome.
